Thank You, Thank You, kilsook-AKA-Kim Haller

This print was custom drawn by Kim Haller. She is awesome. Her artwork is amazing. She captures life in her little cartoon drawings. While she was working on this I found several other prints of hers that I have had to have. I think I have a total of 8 additional prints, 6 which I have bought and two that she included with my other orders because she knew how much I loved one of them and the other I think because she was inspired and sent me a cute little pink bird one that of course you all know would make me think of my little bird Isabella Eun Jin.
It has been so much fun to work with Kim on this. She wanted to know our girl's personality so that she could get this just right for us. She did a fantastic job!
We are going to frame this print and give it to Isabella Eun Jin for her adoption finalization in April.
I cannot thank Kim enough for doing this very special gift for us.
(Kim is also a Korean adoptee, which makes it even closer to "home" for us. Look at the cute little butterfly wings!)
You can find Kim on etsy.com or on facebook under kilsook.
Oh, I forgot to mention that the envelope the prints come in is almost as good as getting the prints themselves. I am so lucky to have two, with another on the way of the cute, cute envelopes. I will take a picture of them and post with another post that shows some of my other prints. I carry my envelopes around and put other papers in them because they are really that cute.

Don't Tell Jackson I Have His Slippers

Isabella Eun Jin insists on wearing Jackson's slippers whenever she can get her feet into them...

Tiny Bubbles

Lyrics by Leon Pober

Tiny bubbles (tiny bubbles)
In the wine (in the wine)
Make me happy (make me happy)
Make me feel fine (make me feel fine)

Tiny bubbles (tiny bubbles)
Make me warm all over
With a feeling that I'm gonna
Love you till the end of time

So here's to the golden moon
And here's to the silver sea
And mostly here's a toast
To you and me

So here's to the ginger lei
I give to you today
And here's a kiss
That will not fade away

Accomplished

This is the face you get when someone learns how to get milk out of their sippy cup.

Stair Master

This is what waits for me when I go down stairs.
She wonders when I am coming back to get her.
So I have tried and tried to teach her how to come down the stairs. I sit down by her on the stairs and turn her around and "crawl" her all the way down. I have done this MANY times.
This video shows how she goes down the stairs... Everyone else goes down the stairs face forward, why shouldn't she?
She is so determined. If she wants to do something, she figures out a way!

Knock On Wood

We have been so LUCKY with Isabella Eun Jin's health. Since being home she has not been sick a single time.
Foster mom told us that she had never even had a runny nose either when she had her.
What amazing health for a low birth weight preemie! She is a soldier for sure.
I have been sick this past week with a sore throat and cough. I figured she would get it as much as she kisses and also drinks from my cup. (She drinks great from a cup-as long as it is MY cup...)
So far not a sniffle...
It makes me so happy because we have not had to deal with the trauma of going to the doctors office or had to make an ER visits...
Lets keep hoping her health stays good!
Although if she keeps insisting on crawling up on things she shouldn't then she is going to fall and whack her head a good one. Really, she can't sit on the "sit and spin", she had to crawl up on the stool???

I Love Chocolate!

Isabella Eun Jin eating this chocolate reminds me of the episode of "I Love Lucy" where Lucy and Ethel work at the chocolate factory and get behind so they start shoving the chocolate in their mouths...She would have eaten them all but we only let her have two.
