Isabella is getting noticeably more comfortable with us. We were told a few things about her when we were in Korea.
1. She holds her own bottle-After being with her I thought, yeah right. But we now have photo evidence that she has been "holding" out on us. She can hold it, she chooses not to. That is fine with us though because we like to hold her and feed her. It gives us great eye contact time.
2. That she likes to finger the fabric of your clothing when falling to sleep or drinking her bottle. She did not do this at all the first 3 weeks but now she does it to the point of driving you crazy.
3. That she was a very vocal baby. Again for the first 3 weeks she would vocalize but not to the point of being VERY vocal. She is starting to babble a lot more. She has the cutest voice. She laughs really cute now as well. She would smile at us before but now she does a belly laugh like Santa Claus. At first it sounds the same as when she starts to cry but now it is a long loud laugh.
4. She would not eat food with her fingers at all. Now she does it like an expert. She has obviously done it before being with us.
5. Foster mom said Isabella would flop herself onto stomach and likes to sleep that way but she would turn her onto her back because she was afraid she would stop breathing and die in her sleep (sids). I am also weary of sids and have my kids sleep on their backs. Up until now Isabella would sleep on her back snuggled really close to me. Now she will UMPH FLOP and turn herself onto her stomach. I turn her back over but you can tell it makes her mad. She does still snuggle right up to me and puts her cheek against mine. If I move over so I have some room, she follows and ends up right next to me again.
